Thanks! Well it depends... will you will be using some sort of content management system (CMS) for your site?
In this case you must insert the CMS tags into the template so the CMS will know where to show the content and also rename index.html into index.php.
If you will make each page "by hand" than just copy the template onto the server and copy index.html for each new page you want to make (and the rename it of course).

Hi plunta,
for changing fonts you need to open style.css file in your Notepad. If you want to edit text fonts look for
font-family:
and
font-size:
in the body {} tag at the begining and change them. If you want to change the heading font the look for places where you see h1, h2, h3 etc... nad make changes there.

Appear quite simple and good...ummmm...but not that much professional. I like WordPress.org's default templates as they appear quite professional and easy to use and share almost 60% of space for articles.
