I like the use of the contrasting colors. When I first glanced at the page, the new Wells Fargo site layout came to mind. This IS a compliment.

This is a neat design, I use it for one of my homepages. I'd suggest one small modification. I've read some articles about the misuse of header tags: it is bad to use h2 if you simply want smaller font etc., header levels sould represent your document's structure.
So I replaced every h2 in the content to h1, and modified the css as follows: (I needed 2 levels of headers in the content)
header h1 {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
color: #eee;
font-size: 220%;
padding-left: 10px;
letter-spacing: -1px;
}
content h1 {
color: #666;
padding-bottom: 3px;
border-bottom: 1px solid #a0c80e;
font-size: 150%;
letter-spacing: -1px;
}
content h2 {
color: #666;
padding-bottom: 3px;
padding-left: 3px;
margin-left: 18px;
border-bottom: 1px solid #a0c80e;
font-size: 120%;
letter-spacing: -1px;
}
